Where do I begin? Born In Long Beach, California to parents who loved the beach and the water it was natural to find me beachside and outdoors camping my whole life, probally why I love the environment so much, moved to North Carolina did the school thing started surfing in Atlantic Beach when I was 17 fell in love with the feeling you get after a good session and never stopped. My Parents moved to Cocoa Beach, Florida so I decided to visit them one spring break, well thats all it took, I found myself soaking up the warm waters, waves, ETC... and went back and moved to Cocoa Beach. After many years in the Hospitality Industry, I have done it all, I wanted to do more with the surfing part of my life so in 1997 I started a On-Line surf shop www.Surfproducts.com so I could surf during the day, fill orders, and Bartend at night time, did this for many years, then one day I was thinking I should open a surf shop in Cocoa Beach, so I did in 2003 Cocoa Beach Surf & Skate was born, I met my now wife a year previous and with out her help I would not be here today, her support of all my crazy ideas, makes me stronger! God blessed us with a son a couple years ago, and he is the light of our life!
Looking forward to today and beyond, again dealing with the surf industry out of our shop in Cocoa Beach, I was getting all these Old Surfboards in that were to much to fix to resale, what am I going to do with this? I would ask myself, I can't throw it away, the enviroment has enough trash in it! So I had a chat with Chuck Crawford one of my Surf art vendors, Chuck could you paint on this battered old board? Ill try, It came back AWESOME, that day the Recycled Surfboards Art Program was born, not only recycling old boards but some of the manafacturing materials, that are scrap, are being recycled into art and New Surfboards! Being the Curator of the Recycled Surfboards Art Project with such a rich surf - art talent pool like Brevard County, Florida has to offer is a blessing...Untill the next page in life.
